Blogging Returns – Deus Ex HR Gameplay

Hey all,

Sorry the blog has been quiet for so long, I have been hard at work on a number of other projects and to be honest, not a lot has come out of late and I wasn’t in a position to cover Gamescom this time round

Anyway, why have I decided to come back today…well hot off of some incredible Deus Ex: Human Revolution gameplay It has left me even more excited about this Fridays release of the game across all formats.

Yes thats right I have just tonight been able to play 30 minutes of Deus Ex HR, and I can say without a shadow of a doubt it is amazing game and if you have been living under a rock and don’t know what Deus Ex HR is then please check out the gameplay trailer

Getting Ready For A Busy Few Months

It is the calm before the storm that is quickly running out, the premiership is on the verge of return which marks not only the countdown to a new game in Fifa 12 but also starts the biggest few months in gaming history with releases coming thick and fast

Arguably the game that kicks off the madness is Deux Ex: Human Revolution that is due for release on the 26th August it also occupies a slot in my “already paid for list” alongside F1 2011, Resistance 3 and Fifa 2012

Then September hits us with a whole host of games that stand to be huge hits this summer

• Space Marine (9th September)

Signed Up For 24 Hour Gaming Event

Sick Kids Save Point is a 24 hour video gaming marathon between 7th – 9th October 2011.  By donating you are supporting The Sick Kids hospital, Edinburgh, which treats poorly children from all over the country.

Starting at 7PM on Friday the 7th October 2011 I will begin a 24 hour gaming session to raise money for the Edinburgh Sick Kids Foundation which supports the work of the Royal Hospital for Sick Children.

The Foundation provides extra funding to benefit the 100,000 children and their families who come to the hospital every year. They raise funds to provide for;

• Extra comforts for sick children being cared for at the hospital
• State of the art medical equipment
• Family and child-friendly facilities
• Extra training and research

I have signed up to raise awareness for the event and as it says above I will be taking part this year in the 24 hour event starting at 7pm on the 7th October 2011.

So far the games I will be playing during the 24 hours are :-

• Resistance 3
• Metal Gear Rising
• Fifa 12
• Formula 1 2011
• Driver San Francisco

I will be adding to that list with releases closer to the time

Uncharted 3 Beta Impressions + Avatar Code

OH DEAR….

Well lets look at the positives, it looks good and the Multiplayer looks a little more involved this time round

Please bare in mind this is obviously an initial beta and has been up less that 12 hours at this stage.

Problems

• Server Down – Can see this happening a lot, obviously ND are working on it.
• Game Crashing – Various places havent managed to finish a game yet
• Not Respawning – Airport map died and didn’t respawn

Some of you may have noticed that some people have a Uncharted 3 avatar you can get that by using the code :- F57M-BNN2-G33H Please note this is an EU code and is unlimited usage.

Uncharted 3 Beta Kicks Off

It is finally here The Uncharted 3 Multiplayer beta kicks off today, as a reminder there are 2 ways into the beta

1. PS+ Subscription
2. Infamous 2 Disc
3. Open Beta Will Start 4th July

When does the Beta end?
The Uncharted 3 Multiplayer Beta will end on Wednesday, July 13.

How much space will the Beta take on my Hard Drive?
The beta will take about ~1.7GB of space on your HDD (confirmed by Evan Wells via twitter)

What gametypes/maps will be available?
Naughty Dog will be rotating a variety of competitive and co-op gametypes, across three different maps (see below).

June 28 to July 4 – Maps: Airstrip, Chateau

Team Deathmatch, Plunder, Three Team Deathmatch, Co-op Arena

July 4 to July 8 – Maps: Airstrip, Chateau

Team Deathmatch, Free For All, Team Objective, Co-op Hunter

July 9 to July 13 – Maps: Airstrip, Yemen

Team Deathmatch, Three Team Deathmatch, Co-op Adventure

Can the Beta be played in 3D?
Yes.

Will Facebook interconnect with Uncharted 3?
Yes, facebook friends that have linked their accounts to their respective PS3′s will appear on a “Facebook Friends List” found in the multiplayer menu.

Will users be able to upload videos and photos to Facebook or YouTube in the Beta?
No, that functionality is not currently ready for the Beta.

Will Beta progress carry over to Uncharted 3 when it releases this November?
No, but Naughty Dog is offering rewards to members of the Beta (see below):

Infamous 2 – Platinum Gained

Finally!!!

On my 3rd full play through of Infamous 2 in the early hours of this morning and after having spent a while doing the UGC missions I finally got my 25 missions done giving me my 2nd Platinum. The game was amazing really enjoyed it and in all honesty didn’t find hard all that difficult. I am a bit disappointed having got the platinum now that I have no need to play it again but I guess thats what I deal with lol. Now to move on to a new game.

Black Ops New DLC Annihilation

Hot on the backs of Escalation being released a week ago Activision have announced Annihilation DLC the 3rd map pack for Black Ops

Hangar 18, Hazard, Silo, Drive-In are the new maps with a new Zombie map which has been announced as Shangri-La

Annihilation has been given a release date of 28th June on the 360 which probably means expect it by August for the ps3.

 

This Weeks Store Release and Infamous 2 Digital Download

According to EU Blog site Infamous 2 will be making an appearance as a digital download this week…however before you run off and cancel your retail release they have priced it at £49.99 *EYE ROLL*

Sony…..When will you learn, we appreciate you getting games available for digital download however truth be told the price is ridiculous £10+ more than your standard retailer. If anybody buys it from the Playstation store they are mad.
